Texas Tech Family game-day 11-19-08

Tech college game day with family included me, Sara, my sister's Josie & Eva, and my nieces, Erica, Felicia & Alex. Prior to the game, we ate at a great B-B-Q dive, Mesquite's Sports Grill and Bar @ 2419 Broadway across Memorial Circle.
It was a rather chilly, but nice November afternoon. As the game progressed the weather was more cooperative as it started to warm up - which was to our advantage. Our beloved Red Raiders beat the Bears in a home-game at Jones Stadium (Lubbock). We gave the Baylor fans a hard time as they tried to give us one at the onset of the game which saw Tech’s Graham Harrell break some digits and Michael Crabtree have to sit out the final 3 qtrs due to his ankle injury. Baylor thought they had the game in the bag...WRONG! Our Red Raiders did not quit - never do! My sisters did quite well in regards to defending our Red Raiders against the sore & rowdy Bear fans. Sara and I were so proud of the both of them; die-hard fans are all we.
After the exciting game went to Krispy Kreme for some delicious doughnuts before we headed home to our respective towns. While there we all reflected on the events earlier in the day and continued our laugh-a-thon. Overall, it was indeed an awesome and unforgettable day we all had. We really did laugh the entire time and relished the day together. We plan another game day this year. For the past few years, our family(s) gather via a caravan to the Tech campus for either a football game or a basketball game. As always - we are all thankful for our loving & wonderful family, and for all the good times shared and the ones which still lie ahead.
