World of Collegiate Sports: NCAA Football: The Inaugural Playoff System Grade...A+!

...So, I haven't written on this blog for a long time.  My Texas Tech Red Raider's football program took quite the beating this year, thus, I was not in the mood to write about anything sport's related; however, the first-ever College Football Playoff Rankings came in today, and I was as excited as I was pleased!  A new vigor for sports revived...my ♥ for sports (especially college sports) ensues...
The announcement did not come as a surprise to this sport's fanatic; I had been predicting the very rankings [1-4] for a few weeks -- just exactly -- as they came in yesterday (via media sources).

This is how the Top Four fared:
1) Alabama Crimson Tide (SEC, West Division)
2) Oregon Ducks (Pac-10, North Division)
3) Florida St. (ACC, Atlantic Division)
4) Ohio St. (Big 10, East Division)
The next teams, left on the cusp (left out of the playoff picture, which had National Championship implications):
5) Baylor Bears (Big 12)
6) TCU Horned Frogs (Big 12)
The Top 10 is represented by:
7) Mississippi St. Bulldogs (SEC, West Division)
8) Michigan St. Spartans (Big 10, East Division)
9) Mississippi Rebels (SEC, West Division)
10) Arizona Wildcats (Pac-12, South Division)

The first-ever playoffs will be as follows:
